Overview

An export shipment starts long before the freight moves

International industrial orders regularly involve products from several U.S. manufacturers, each shipping from a different location, on a different schedule, with different packaging. H&H acts as the U.S.-side coordinator: we receive products from multiple suppliers, prepare export packing and documentation, and hand the shipment to the buyer's forwarder or an arranged carrier.

Documentation requirements, fees, export eligibility, transit time, and available shipping options vary by product, supplier, destination, and order — we confirm those details on the specific RFQ.

Buyer & H&H responsibilities

The customer is responsible for import clearance and any destination-country requirements. H&H is not a customs broker in the destination country and does not act as importer of record.

Documentation availability depends on what U.S. suppliers can provide for each product. Requested certificates that require a supplier or third-party fee are quoted with the order.

To coordinate an international shipment we usually need the following from the buyer, either at the RFQ stage or once the order is confirmed:

Final destination address and contact
Incoterm and preferred currency
Freight forwarder details or freight-account number
Required certificates or destination-specific documents
Import license or reference number if applicable
Any marking, labeling, or packaging requirements

Shipping questions

Does H&H ship to every country?

Availability depends on the product, the manufacturer, and destination-country requirements. Certain products or brands may not be eligible for export to specific destinations.

Can we use our own freight forwarder?

Yes. We regularly release consolidated shipments to the buyer's nominated forwarder in the United States and coordinate the export documentation accordingly.

Do you handle customs clearance at destination?

H&H does not act as a customs broker in the destination country. The buyer and their local broker are responsible for import clearance.

Can you provide Certificates of Origin?

When available from the manufacturer or through the applicable channel, we can coordinate Certificates of Origin, Conformance, or other requested documentation. Some certificates involve a supplier or third-party fee.

How is a consolidated shipment prepared?

Products arrive at our U.S. handling location from multiple suppliers, are checked against the order, packed for export, and released to the freight forwarder with the required documentation.
