Seals, Gaskets & Filtration Sourcing

Radial shaft seals, oil and grease seals, hydraulic and pneumatic seals, O-rings, gaskets, mechanical seals, and filter elements sourced against exact designations and dimensions.

Category overview

How seals, gaskets & filtration requirements are handled

Sealing and filtration lines are usually consumables, ordered in quantity and repeatedly. That makes them ideal candidates for consolidation with the mechanical spares they support — but it also makes precision essential, because an incorrect lip design or elastomer compound will fail quickly in service.

Shaft seals are identified by shaft diameter, housing bore, and width, together with the lip arrangement and material. Two seals sharing all three dimensions can still be different parts if one has a dust lip, a stainless case, or a different compound. Filtration is identified by element dimensions, micron rating, media type, and the housing it serves.

H&H quotes what you specify and reports only what the supplying source documents about material and origin. We do not certify chemical compatibility, temperature range, or service life.

Independent sourcing, not authorized distribution
H&H Exports is an independent U.S. sourcing, procurement, consolidation, and export-support company. We do not claim authorized-distributor status for the brands named on this page, do not hold fixed inventory, and do not publish prices or lead times. What we source

Major product groups

Rotary and static sealing

  • Radial shaft seals, oil seals, and grease seals
  • V-rings and axial face seals
  • Bearing isolators and labyrinth seals
  • Mechanical seals and seal components
  • Gaskets, sheet gasket material, and die-cut gaskets

Fluid-power sealing

  • Hydraulic rod and piston seals
  • Wipers, scrapers, and wear rings
  • Pneumatic seals and cylinder seal kits
  • O-rings, backup rings, and O-ring kits
  • Custom-size and non-standard elastomer seals

Filtration

  • Hydraulic filter elements and assemblies
  • Pneumatic and compressed-air filtration
  • Process and liquid filtration elements
  • Lubrication and coolant filtration
  • Engine and mobile-equipment filters
  • Filter housings, bowls, and indicators

These groups are a starting point, not a limit. Sourcing is driven by the manufacturer and part number you supply, so requirements outside this list are welcome.

Part identification

What each line item should include

Every quotation is built from the information you supply. Exact part numbers, suffixes, configurations, specifications, quantities, end use, and destination can all affect what can be sourced and whether it is eligible for export.

Submit your exact part numbers for review — H&H does not select, substitute, or approve components on the buyer's behalf.

  • Manufacturer designation exactly as marked on the seal or element
  • Shaft diameter, housing bore, and seal width
  • Lip configuration (single, double, dust lip) and spring type
  • Case material and elastomer compound (nitrile, FKM, PTFE, silicone, other)
  • Operating media, pressure, temperature range, and surface speed
  • O-ring size designation, cross-section, and durometer
  • Filter element dimensions, micron rating, media, and end-cap style
  • Equipment make, model, and serial where the element is equipment-specific
  • Quantity, destination country, and delivery window
Common complications

What most often delays seals, gaskets & filtration quotations

Most quoting delays on this category are information problems rather than sourcing problems. Addressing the points alongside in your first message usually removes a full round trip.

  • Only two of the three seal dimensions supplied
  • Compound not specified for an aggressive or high-temperature medium
  • Seal identified from a worn marking with no measurement supplied
  • Filter requested by micron rating alone without dimensions or housing detail
  • Kit requested when individual seals were intended, or the reverse
  • Dimensional matches assumed to be equivalents across manufacturers

Brand names are used only to identify the items buyers describe. Sourcing channels are confirmed per requirement, and H&H does not disclose upstream suppliers.

Consolidation

Multi-manufacturer requirements on one quotation

International buyers rarely need only one brand. A single RFQ can combine several manufacturers in this category with lines from other categories, coordinated by one U.S.-based team. See Multi-Vendor Consolidation for how eligibility is determined.

  • One multi-line RFQ can span several manufacturers within and beyond this category.
  • Eligible lines are combined into a single commercial quotation and, where practical, one export-ready shipment.
  • One U.S. point of contact for revisions, lead-time follow-up, and documentation questions.
  • Consolidation eligibility depends on readiness dates, packing requirements, and destination.
Export support

Documentation and origin considerations

  • Commercial invoice and packing list prepared from the part numbers and quantities you confirm.
  • Country of origin is reported only as documented by the supplying source — H&H does not assign or certify origin.
  • Export eligibility can depend on the exact part number, configuration, end use, end user, and destination country.
  • Destination-country import duties, standards, and clearance requirements remain the buyer's responsibility.
Boundaries and buyer responsibility
Dimensional similarity alone does not establish interchangeability, and H&H Exports does not represent one seal, gasket, or element as equivalent to another. Material compatibility, pressure and temperature limits, filtration efficiency, and service life must be confirmed by the buyer or its engineering authority against the manufacturer's published data.
RFQ workflow

How a requirement moves through H&H

1. Send your requirement

Submit manufacturer, part number, quantity, and destination on the RFQ form. The category is carried through with your request.

2. Sourcing investigation

Our U.S. team investigates each line through established channels and returns clarifying questions where needed.

3. Commercial quotation

Eligible lines are presented on one quotation with the commercial terms applicable to your destination.

4. Consolidation and export

On order, compatible items are consolidated and documentation is prepared for shipment.

FAQs

Common questions

Can you match a seal from its dimensions?
We can investigate options against the dimensions and material you supply, but the buyer confirms suitability. Dimensional similarity alone does not establish interchangeability.
Do you supply complete cylinder seal kits?
Yes, where the manufacturer publishes a kit. Provide the cylinder manufacturer, model, bore, stroke, and serial information if available.
Can filters be consolidated with other spares?
Yes. Filtration consumables are commonly combined with bearings, seals, and MRO items on one shipment where eligible.
Do you certify elastomer compatibility with my process fluid?
No. Compound selection and chemical compatibility remain with the buyer or its engineering authority.
